SPENCER HOGAN by Michelle Hogan
On March 5, 2013, our son Spencer Hogan began his journey to become a United States Airman. The weekend of May 5th, he successfully completed Basic Training for the United States Air Force at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas. It was truly a blessing to see Spencer after 8½ long weeks of speaking to him once a week and for no longer than 15 min. It was clear after seeing Spencer how much he had matured. For his graduation he was blessed to have 25 family and friends come to support and give him encouragement. Spencer has an Aunt Simmie, (his dad's sister) and an Uncle Rick (his mom's brother) that are retired Air Force. His Uncle Rick, Aunt Frances and cousin Maleyah came from Virginia. After graduation, Spencer saluted his Uncle Rick and Uncle Rick presented him with a special Air Force coin. Spencer is specializing in security forces and is currently in technical training until mid-August. He will come home to Friendswood, Texas for a couple of weeks and then will prepare for his first tour in London, England at Mildenhall AFB reporting for duty September 30.
David and I (and his sister, Sydnee) are very proud of Spencer's accomplishments over the last several months. He did what may won't and he is doing it very humbly.
I just have to say that we are all so very proud of you Spencer. It was very hard for me to see how much you had grown up over the last few months. Mark told me that you couldn't stay "little Spencer" forever. I asked him "WHY NOT". After a ton of tears, I finale get it. I'm so excited for all the new adventures that await you. Stay safe and have fun. Always know how much we love you. Love Aunt Kim

Our cousin Rheata had a great ideal. She thought it would be nice if we could share pictures of our family's through emails. With our family living all around the world, it would be a great way for us to watch all the changes in each others lives. If you would like to share pictures with the family, please send me an email at bkcash@sbcglobal.net. I will put together a email list of people wanting to share pictures and send the list out to everyone interested. |
