AUNT PAULETTE
I know that you all have been wondering how Aunt Paulette is doing so I thought I would share some pictures that I received. David's wonderful girlfriend Herschel sent me these pictures from Aunt Paulette's birthday. Aunt Paulette is doing better but she still has a long way to go. I love the smile on her face.
The first picture is of Zerlina and Gabby with Aunt Paulette. #2 is of Herschel and Aunt Paulette. #3 is Gabby (granddaugther), Zerlina, Detrique (grandson) and Herschel. The last picture is David and Aunt Paulette.
KALAR by Rob Kersey
The pictures below are of our two German sheppards they are brothers from the same litter. We have had them since they were 6 weeks old. The one on the left is Kalar(rusty color) the one on the right (more black) is Kavant. Kalar was taken to the vetinary clinic the end of July and had emergency surgery because of a mass they found on his spleen. They removed the Spleen and he survivied the surgery and is doing good. The bad thing is the tumor they found was a Hemangiosarcomawhich is an aggressive blood cancer. He was only given 1-2 months to live. We took him to a specialist and decided to go with Chemotherapy which would extend his quality of life to over a year. We are praying for a miricale because so far there has been no signs of the cancer spreading to his other organs which is rare. He had his first Chemo treatment yesterday August 19 and had experienced no side effects. He will be receiving treatment 4 more times, so wish him luck. As you can see these guys are not companions they are family!!!
SCHOOL'S OPENING SOON, "GRAM LEFT BEHIND" by Betty Kersey
Weepy times for me again. This morning I went with LaTende, Grant and Zaria to do a walk through at their school before opening day. It was great meeting their teachers, seeing where they will be spending the majority of their day, and just the whole concept of seeing Grant and Zaria again in the same school. They will be riding the bus together; Zaria's first time ever riding the bus on a daily basis. Her mother said she may have ridden the bus all of 3 or 4 times from grades K-4. She preferred to ride to school with her mom. This year, their school day begins almost an hour before LaTende's starts. I know she has been waiting for years to have this quiet time in the morning to get prepared for her rambunctious Kindergarten class, and believe me she manages to get the greatest variety (personalities) in her little garden. I am sure she will not give up that well deserved time. I bet she will have them out at the bus stop earlier than everyone else in the neighborhood just to make sure that they don't miss the bus.

I hear Tidus wanted to go to school too. #8: Gabby and Zerlina getting ready for their first day of 1st grade. #9: Dwayne getting ready for his sophomore year. #10: Zaira and Grant leaving for their first day of school. #11: Grant, Zaira and Dwayne waiting for the bus. I'm loving Grant's pose.

Hello Family…I am very blessed to say that we have successfully started a new school year. We had one child more eager than the other to start school; I bet you can guess what child did not want to start school. Jaylin is in 2nd grade and fully integrated, she really enjoys school and her reading and spelling are off the charts. We are so proud of her and Warren Jay. Warren Jay did really well, once we got him to school. He enjoys Tumblebus and computer class.
