And Jordan is doing so well. Nothing but smiley faces. Every day she wants to know if she is going to school. She gets upset when I tell her she can't go to school. She is learning so fast. But hey she’s my daughter so of course she’s smart. Jordan’s teacher told me that she is very interest in learning and Jordan is always watching her to see what they will do next. Jordan has made so many new friends, which is great. Last month she went to her first birthday party that wasn’t a family member. Her teacher told me that she is a very well liked little girl. She also told me that she wished she had a class room full of Jordan’s. Bruce and I are very proud of her. Today was Donuts for Dad day at Jordan's school. She has been waiting weeks for her daddy to go to school with her. When he woke her up this morning she jumped out of bed right into his arms ready to go. Jordan said that she loved having her daddy at school with her. Bruce was able to meet some of Jordan’s friends. Now he can put a face with the people he hears so much about. Jordan wants her daddy to know that she loves him. |
FAMILY TIME David and Herschel took their family to Disneyland to celebrate Gabby and Detrique's birthday's. It looks like everyone had a good time. I love family pictures. |
MY NEPHEW by Rob Kersey This is my nephew at his best, always trying to get an advantage! Notice the referee in the background in the red shirt looking down, and young Mr. Dwayne pulling on the opponents shirt. Keeping him from running away from him, talk about sneaky!!!!
And guess what Dover defeated the opposing team 1-0.

MY NEPHEW SPENCER
Spencer is a senior this year and on the varsity football team. He’s on something called the special teams and he also punts the ball. I’m not too good with the terms but I enjoy watching him play. I only pay attention when he’s playing. I know that I should watch the whole game but it’s not interesting if he’s not on the field. The second picture was taken on senior night before the game. Look at his proud parents. They look almost as cute as my nephew!!
Spencer senior year is a busy year, so make the best of it. Enjoy it and work hard to get everything you want. We are all very proud of you on and off the field.
Love your favorite Aunt Kim and the rest of the family.
JORDAN AND SCOOBY-DOO
Scooby-Doo was at our public library a couple of weeks ago, so Jordan and I went to meet him. Scooby-Doo is Jordan's favorite cartoon. I found out a couple of days before that he was coming. So on Friday since she had a half day at school, I told her that I had a special treat for her. At first she was a little scared of Scooby but after a few minutes she was alright. The last picture is of the 2 of them in the hallway after Jordan almost knock Scooby down running into his arms. Meeting Scooby is something Jordan will remember for the rest of her life.

SPECIAL MEMORIES Most of you might know who the two people are in the picture. But for those of you who don’t, that’s Dodo (Dora Rodrick) and I. Dodo was my great-great aunt and Grandpa’s (Floyd or Flick Kersey) aunt. My dad gave Jordan this picture a couple of weeks ago, and she went around the house showing everyone her mommy. Seeing this picture brought back so many good memories. I remember going over to Dede and Grandpa’s to watch Shirley Temple with Dodo and eat apple archway cookies. We always had so much fun. Dodo was one of those people that you could always count on no matter what. I think she was the whole neighborhoods Aunt. I miss those days and I miss her.

RESPECT
I have been thinking about how I was raised to respect my elder’s and I think we need to go back to those days. I think that people today are so busy with their own lives that they have forgotten how to treat others. We use our elder’s for advice (when we can’t make that hard decision) or whatever we need them for but then we forget to do something they ask us to do. Growing up the adult’s in our lives did whatever they could to make life good for us all and it wasn’t just our parent’s, it was our grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins anyone that was older than you. And it’s time to give back. I think that when a person asks you to do something for them you should try your best to do it (unless it’s against the law). Remember that “tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone”. “Treat other’s as you would want to be treated”.
Thanks for listening. And thank you all for everything that you have done for me in my life. I appreciate you all.
Well that's it for this month. Talk to you all next month.
Love, Kim
